WELCOME TO DOTTY FISH

Welcome to Dotty Fish! My name is Helen Chapman and, as a mum of two, I know how difficult it can be to find baby shoes that look great but are also practical, stay on little feet and are reasonably priced. That’s exactly why Dotty Fish was created – to offer stylish, practical and affordable baby shoes that both parents and little ones love.

The business began in 2006 after my son, who was not yet one, was given a beautiful but very expensive pair of baby shoes. I wanted to buy more but struggled to find anything similar at a reasonable price, so I decided to do some research to see if I could create a more affordable alternative. From this, my first range of baby shoes, Shimmy Shoes, was born and the business began to grow from there.

The shoes proved very popular and the business grew from strength to strength. In July 2009, during a time when money was tight for many families, I introduced a more budget-friendly range called My Twinkle Toes, along with a new website. The business continued to grow and was even featured as a successful online business on the ITV programme Tonight.

Over the years, the business has continued to expand with more designs, new products and growing collections. As the brand developed, we rebranded to Dotty Fish, focusing on soft leather baby shoes, toddler shoes and accessories that are comfortable, practical and affordable.

Supporting Little Feet Every Step of the Way

Today, Dotty Fish is known for soft, flexible baby and toddler shoes designed to support healthy foot development, with a barefoot feel, wide toe boxes and lightweight soles – perfect for little feet learning to crawl, stand and walk. We are always working on new designs and products, ensuring there is something for every little one and every special occasion.

We are proud to create shoes that follow barefoot principles, helping little feet grow and develop naturally. Our shoes are designed with flexible soles, lightweight materials and wide toe boxes to allow toes to move freely and support balance and stability. We have also worked with the London Podiatry Centre to ensure our shoes support healthy foot development, so parents can feel confident they are choosing footwear that is not only lovely to look at, but also good for growing feet as little ones explore their world both indoors and outdoors.

We hope to continue offering parents affordable, fun and stylish products for their little ones for many years to come!
